This slim version of the popular CP33 magazine holder will allow you to carry a fully-loaded 33 or 50 round magazine, and it will have no chance to accidentally slip out, even when operating at the peak of your operator ability. Hardware is included with this purchase for attachment to the Kel-Tec CP33. Proprietary connection system means that this model ONLY works with the KelTec CP33.
This fore end attachment allows quick access to your spare magazine. A magazine carrier is a legal pistol attachment and does not require an NFA stamp. However, you should be aware of your local laws and regulations.
The NFA has not made a ruling on this model, but since it does not meet the following requirements, it should not be classified as a vertical foregrip:
– This magazine holder is not perpendicular to the barrel. For the ATF to classify a pistol attachment as a VFG, the VFG must be “90 degrees to the barrel, irrespective of orientation”. Since this model is at a cool 75 degrees, it is not vertical, and therefore not a vertical foregrip. The ATF held up this ruling by classifying a B5 foregrip at 88 degrees to the barrel as “angled”, and thus legally installable on a pistol, despite the B5 company itself describing the item as a vertical foregrip.
– This magazine holder is not a vertical foregrip because it is not a grip at all. Since this model is a magazine holder, it cannot be a foregrip. Any item that is designed to be a grip is subject to grip regulations, but items that are not designed to be a grip are not subject to those regulations. Similar justification was used to approve the TacSac and Glock magazine holders.
– This magazine holder does not allow solid full-hand wrap-around grasp, and so even without the above justification, it would still not be a foregrip.
The carrier allows firm retention of the spare mag, but still allows easy removal for quick magazine swaps.
